Production Supervisor
A dynamic company in Frankfort, Indiana is in search of a Production Supervisor for their 3rd _ _ shift operations, 10:30pm- 7:30am. Selected as Clinton County's 2011 Business of the Year, NTK Precision Axle is a leading manufacturer of constant velocity joints/shafts and hub bearing assemblies serving a diverse group of customers in the automotive industry. Manufacturing operations involve CNC turning and induction heat-treatment processes. We are seeking a motivated individual who wants to take an active role in the continuous growth of our company.
Job Expectations include: Coordinate the activities of departmental personnel to include safety observations, daily work assignments, training, etc. Must perform and/or coordinate the training of employees on equipment and quality measurement devices, in addition to inspecting product, machinery, and department personnel to maintain organizational and customer standards. Position will communicate closely with other production supervisors to ensure smooth shift changes and will complete and deliver performance evaluations in a timely manner. Position will be responsible for the maintaining of our lean manufacturing and 5S standards. This position is a hands-on opportunity requiring extensive time spent on the production floor.
Candidates must have a minimum of five years supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Prefer an Associate's degree in a related field. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience in creating and maintaining production reports in Excel spreadsheet formats, and knowledge of general machine operations and strong mechanical comprehension skills. In addition, the candidate must have good employee relations skills in mentoring and counseling production personnel and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
